Hi,

I'm new to these forums and this is my first post.
I have been reading the forums and looking at some of the excellent work done by Kurt.

Now I am considering a 6.8 spc piston upper, but I still have a few questions for Kurt and the guys with the 6.8.

1.Ease of cleaning/disassembly of piston assembly, and time involved to clean it..start to finish.

2.Accuracy/performance with all types of ammo.
Barrel spec 2 with 1 in 11 twist may be best setup for me.
(300 yard+ info would be great! because some systems induce strange barrel harmonics.)

3.How is the adjustable gas flow/block coming along?

I am not a huge fan of di gas systems..but I don't want to hop on the Masada/Scar band wagon just yet.

Kurt, good luck on the CNC upgrade.

"1.Ease of cleaning/disassembly of piston assembly, and time involved to clean it..start to finish."

Simple! See the article in the top menu bar on my M9EvoM4 in Special Weapons. Paul describes it.

"2.Accuracy/performance with all types of ammo.

Accuracy is not affected. I'll know more whe I get these 2 6.8's in here finished up.

3.How is the adjustable gas flow/block coming along?

It's coming, but I'm blasted with work right now but I've got the design and it'll be produced as a prototype soon.
Thx!

Thank you for the response.

My 6.8 build may be slowed down a bit if the parts don't start rolling in,hopefully this month or the next.
